Thank you, IK Home Team, for doing an amazing job for me and my family. They built a legal secondary dwelling in our bungalow, and it was very well done, on time and within the budget and a lot of times they went above and beyond for us to get it done. This was a large project, but it felt like it was small as everything went smoothly and quickly and that was important for us as we were living on the main level during the construction.... Overall, we are really happy with the project and the IK Home team .... We highly recommend them to anyone.

We gave Igor a tough job: a short deadline to complete the construction + manage the unusual business hours that he could that. His team did an amazing job and on time. From the floor to the ceiling, everything was well done. He also gave us advice on what to get and what not to do for our project so we could fit it in our budget. We are really happy with his service, and we will definitely hire him again for future ones.

Igor was hired on a firm fixed-price contract to complete the construction of a legal secondary dwelling unit in the basement of a bungalow that we are renovating to become an income property. Igor was very pleasant to deal with throughout the entire process of hiring, construction and wrapping up the project. He and his team were professional in all aspects of the work and they were adaptable to the changes and challenges that arise during any large renovation project. When extras were encountered, they were very fairly priced and in almost all cases, they were performed without schedule impacts. When other trades did impact the schedule, Igor was very adaptable and adjusted his schedule accordingly and without additional cost. I enjoyed working with Igor and I will use him again in the near future for work at my own home.

We hired Igor for a basement walkout project, and would definitely recommend him to others. I wanted to have a ground-level door that opens into the internal staircase leading to the basement, so we don't have to dig external stairs to the basement. I consulted with a few contractors and everyone told me it can't be done because my side wall and the neighbour's side wall are only 8 feet apart. They all recommended the more complicated solution of digging external stairs in the backyard, which would have tripled the cost, ruined the backyard, and made it a longer trip to access the basement door.
Then I consulted with Igor. He showed up on time, got to work with his measuring tape, and a few minutes later concluded that my idea was technically feasible and that a city permit was also possible as he worked on a similar project before. He worked with an engineer and got the drawings approved by the city and obtained a city permit. The project turned out beautiful and passed city inspection. I'd say we got lucky that we found Igor for this project. I think Igor is a creative thinker and has the technical expertise to get the job done.

The project was the complete renovation of a 30-year-old side-split bungalow, including removal of walls to create a modern open look in the kitchen and living areas, the addition of an attic beam to compensate for the wall removals, addition of modern hardwood flooring throughout, and ceramic tiling in entrance way, mudroom, and bathrooms, and complete renovation and update of the bathrooms. Igor's work ethic, knowledge, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and budgets were exemplary! His willingness and ability to deliver beyond the original scope of the project without significantly impacting deadlines and budgets was appreciated! I highly recommend this professional!

Igor Kraizgur Home Improvement did an amazing job on a number of projects in my home. He pays an incredible attention to detail which results in top quality work. He first installed a new backsplash in my kitchen. Simply put, it looked perfect. Following this project, he installed ceramic tile in the bathroom and cork flooring in the kitchen. I was happy to learn that he was skilled in masonry work and was so pleased with his preparation of a new window well, installation of a larger window in my basement and a stunning new front door with stonework.
Additional projects included replacement of a structural column at the front of my home, and the design, construction and installation of cabinets in a powder room and basement. All projects came in on time and on budget. It was a pleasure to have Igor Kraizgur Home Improvement complete these projects. He is friendly, tidy and clearly cares about the work he does.
