What We Do
IK Home Improvement Inc. provides general contracting, whole-home renovation and construction services for residential and commercial property owners across Ottawa and the surrounding area.
Our work is built around professional project management, skilled craftsmanship, clear communication and a commitment to delivering projects with care from planning through completion.
Our Story
Founded in 2015, IK Home Improvement Inc. is the creation of Igor Kraizgur, a former IT procurement and project management professional who transitioned into the renovation industry after experiencing first-hand the frustration of poor service during his own home renovation projects. That experience led him to leave the office business environment for a hands-on approach and ultimately to establish his own home renovation company.
Igor's experience creating comfortable spaces for his own family shaped the way IK approaches service quality. We understand our clients' needs because our company began from that same point of dissatisfaction. We know how important it is to have work completed properly, to be kept informed and to feel that the people working in your home respect your priorities. That understanding of client needs, together with a genuine passion for home renovation, professionalism and the desire to make a tangible improvement in people's living spaces, became the foundation of IK Home Improvement.
Today, IK Home Improvement is a collective effort supported by a permanent team of skilled tradespeople. We are a close, family-like company where each professional contributes strong work ethic, practical skills and expertise across different areas of renovation and construction. Our people and our commitment to our clients remain at the centre of the company.
Since 2015, IK Home Improvement has completed more than one hundred major home renovation projects for homeowners and business owners in the greater Ottawa area. Along the way, we have continued to learn, improve and expand our capabilities. Igor's background in technology and project management has encouraged the company to embrace complex projects, new technologies and modern building materials. We have also developed strong working relationships with architects, engineering firms and suppliers to support the different needs of our clients.
Community support is also part of our story. Having experienced the challenges of immigration personally, Igor actively supports the integration of skilled newcomers into Canada's economy by creating meaningful employment opportunities. For us, building is not only about structures. It is also about people, opportunity and belonging. Unlike many home renovation companies, we do not outsource construction tasks to subcontractors. Our tradespeople are permanent members of the IK team and are dedicated to our clients. Our project management team oversees every stage of the project, providing clear responsibility and a consistent point of contact.
Our goal is not simply to provide professional renovation services. We aim to deliver them with a high level of client satisfaction and with solutions tailored to each client's needs, vision and budget. We do not simply execute plans. We work with our clients as partners in bringing those plans to life.

Our strength comes from the people behind every project. IK Home Improvement brings together long-standing team members with complementary responsibilities in company leadership, field operations, client relations, quality assurance, technology, safety and skilled craftsmanship.
Igor founded IK Home Improvement and leads the company’s operations, sales and project delivery.
He is involved in every project from the initial consultation and budgeting through planning, construction and completion, while overseeing financial decisions and the company’s overall direction.
Kostiantyn has been a key member of IK Home Improvement since 2020 and serves as the technical and operational core of the company.
He oversees daily project activities, crew task allocation, equipment and site readiness, while working closely with engineers and architects on drawings, specifications and technical changes.
He supervises workmanship and construction standards and brings extensive experience and hands-on expertise as IK’s lead framer.
Alexander is IK Home Improvement’s longest-serving team member since 2018 with the company.
He manages the company’s technology systems, programming and software support. He develops company’s custom tools that improve project coordination, crew communication and daily workflows.
He also oversees site-safety planning, regulatory training and required certifications, helping strengthen the efficiency, organization and safety of IK projects.
Olena has been a key member of IK Home Improvement since 2023 She supports company leadership and project delivery through client communication, purchasing coordination and daily site involvement.
As IK’s quality assurance manager she monitors project progress, follows up on outstanding work and conducts completion checks before client sign-off, supporting consistent workmanship and IK’s quality standards.
Rimas has been a valued member of IK Home Improvement since 2021.
As a highly skilled master carpenter, he provides technical guidance and oversees workmanship standards for finish carpentry, custom woodwork and millwork across IK projects. He is also providing on-site customer support throughout the project.
His craftsmanship, extensive construction knowledge and project-management experience help ensure that all carpentry work is completed accurately, consistently and to the industry quality standards.
